Switching to Induction Cooker from Gas Cooker

Would you agree with me that the most important appliance in your home specifically the kitchen is the stove?

For me it is, that is the part that can help me create and cook dishes for the family and other occasions, also it can heat up anything that is possible using the gas oven. I have been cooking for more than half of my life and I always consider experimenting things in the kitchen.

A little upgrade to an appliance that can save and also speed up cooking is my always my aim, or I know most of us to do, with this I was able to convince myself to purchase an induction cooker, for the reason that the heat that is being produced using gas from the range cooker affects the temperature in the kitchen going to the living room, even the range hood in on. Now, what to do with this situation, find a place in the house that can a temporary kitchen or cooking station.

There's a lot of buzz about induction cooker versus gas cooker by using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Does an induction cooker is better and efficient for cooking? Wil it saves you money and time?

So, I put to test our new Kyowa induction cooker yesterday, I prepared three meals cooked one after the other.

Kyowa induction cooker (Php1599/30USD)
Model number: KW-3631

  • 1400 watts
  • multiple-level adjustable power setting
  • durable crystal glass plate
  • pre-set manual selection heating function
  • automatically detects when various error occur
  • uses no open flame- guaranteed safe to use
My first dish was bacon and eggs for breakfast, with the pre-set mode I fried four strips of bacon, then followed by sunny-side-up eggs in just minutes.

I used the Masflex non-stick aluminum induction crepe pan for this. The digital light will detect an error message when I tried using a different pan. Which for me is an absolute yes having this guide.

When cleaning the cooker after use, I quickly turned off the cooker, set-aside to let it cool and used a damp cloth wiping the top surface.

The second dish I prepared for cooking was Chicken tinola soup.

Using Pyrex iron cast casserole (flat-bottom), I sauteed onion, ginger, and garlic on the lowest heat, for just minutes I reached the desired temperature until I placed the chicken for searing. I added heat and time 20 minutes and set it for boil setting.

Chicken tinola soup with papaya and chili leaves.

The third dish was fried cavendish banana wrapped with jackfruit and brown sugar (saging na turon).

Using the Oster cast iron frying pan with flat-bottom, I preheated the cooking oil and amazed how quick it reached the desired temperature. The wrappers got burnt because of the highest temperature that was pre-set after I turned on the cooker. It took a minute or two just to cook the side of the wrap.

My overall experience using this Kyowa induction cooker, it can easily reach the desired temperature when cooking, because it's flameless it doesn't emit excessive heat, it's light-weight and can be placed anywhere in the house or you can bring it anywhere needed. It gives a guide in time and what acceptable cooking tools like pots and pans to use. Although, this part can be a negative side of it, because it needs for you to buy some, or you can maximize the ones you have at home.

I will be checking the upcoming electric bill if how much will the consumption including the use of this induction cooker.

So far, I am quite impressed and satisfied with it, also it is serving the purpose of why I decided to buy an induction cooker.

Will you consider in switching to induction cooker from your regular gas cooking? Any thoughts?

Review on Tony Moly Tony Tint Delight

When will I learn, no matter how I try...I am not good and okay with lip tints!
I went with my impulsive self again when I purchased this tube of Tony Moly Tony Tint Delight over at Althea Korea Ph. My blogger friend asked me if I wanted some items at the site so we can purchase items in one shipping. She had some items on her cart and needed a few more to reach the minimum amount of order to get the free shipping. Since I have some items on her that she will be sending me, I decided to grab the chance and experience another beauty online shopping site.

One of the items was this Tony Moly Tony Tint Delight tube Php150 per tube on a sale price, I thought of getting this several times because lip tints aren't my thing. But, yeah the impulsive-self made me do it haha!
Here is my personal review for this.
Tony Moly Tony Tint Delight in clear tubing, black twistable cap. I love how chic and simple the bottle design.
It took us a week for the package to be delivered as stated on the site it will be ship from Korea, taking note of all items are made from Korea. I was kind of excited about this one!
The head of the cap has this heart shape which is so cute!
It has a soft brush applicator which glides smoothly, but the amount of the tint is too much when applied, giving the tint a smudged look. Also, the color is so different from the websites sample color. It doesn't match my skin tone. I am the one to blame here.

When I dabbed the tint at the back of my hand it gave me this glossy bright red color. And because it is a tint lip color it needed to leave a stain color to serve its purpose.
Rubbed off several times using a dry tissue and this is what I got. A tint mark from the tested amount applied. It looked good when this was applied at the back of my hand by on my lips it's a different thing. I will insert a photo of me using this product after I locate that selfie I took from my phone.
The tint separated colors from my lips leaving a darker red on my outer lip line and a light shade of red in the inner lip. This is normally my issue about tints, it doesn't cover the full lips.

After I tested the tint once I have no plans on using it again, might give it away to a friend who wants it.
Again, this is my personal take on the product Tony Moly Tony Tint Delight, the product was bought by my own money and review is 100% mine.

I know some girls are into tints and lucky them! :)

Autograph Azure Breeze Eau de Toilette by Marks & Spencer

Autograph, a breeze in a bottle...another flashback from the holiday's gifts I got last Christmas.
This scent is very close to Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue which I had and this is also the reason I asked and wish for it for a Christmas gift to receive. I saw this bottle scent at Marks & Spencers-Harbor Point Mall in Subic. I checked out the tester bottle out of the couple ones lined up for their Christmas holiday display.
The classic and simple white and blue rectangular box packaging of 100 ml content bottle.

At the back of the bottle indicates the combination of the scent.
"Opening with spicy ginger, crispy green apple, and refreshing bergamot notes, with a fruity heart of beautiful rose, soft peach, and orange flower scents, resting on woody base aromas. The fresh fruity fragrance of Azure Breeze will awaken your senses."

The bottle content is flammable, needs to store in a cool dark place and avoid eye contact. Made in the UK for Marks and Spencer.
The bottle is almost the shape of the box with matte frost and a see through the plastic cap for the sprayer.
Easy to hold and press the sprayer nozzle and it emits a content in a mist.
The color of the liquid is a slightly yellow with a tinged of green.
Marks & Spencer Autograph Azure Breeze eau de toilette 100ml bottle.
From the tester spray I had from the day I learn about this fragrance it really caught my attention, the calming and soothing scent I had was lingering also I made a distinct comparison to it with D&G Light Blue. I was delighted with this because of the pricing perse'. D&G is far way more expensive compared to Azure Breeze. Also, we got a 20% off from the original price of Php 1,296 ($29) to Php 1,037 ($23) made me even decide for this as a Christmas gift.

The only downside of this is the scent easily fades especially outdoors, that's why you need to spray from time to time like I do when I want to smell fresh and beautiful. :)
I highly recommend this brand of fragrance if you are into citrus-woody scent, grab a bottle at your M&S stores nationwide.

Feature: Super Charcoal Roasted White Coffee

One of the most exciting part of Christmas season was to receive gifts you like most, do you agree with me?
A bag of sachets full of coffee was one exciting gift we got last Christmas. Super charcoal roasted white coffee (2 in 1 coffee and creamer packs).
I was able to taste this brand of coffee a couple of months ago and I did like it. That one was the Super coffee from here in the Ph is was on a small pouch pack. This Super coffee is in a bigger pouch pack which means the content was a little more than the local packs from here.
Super Charcoal White Coffee in 25grams each pack and in this bag it has 15 sachets.

Super Charcoal Roasted White Coffee "Savour the rich and aromatic classic White Coffee with no added sugar, charcoal roasted to perfection."
Manufactured by Super Coffeemix MArketing in Malaysia and imported by Super Coffee Corporation Singapore.

My verdict for this Super Charcoal Roasted White Coffee...
.... I poured in the whole sachet in a cup filled with boiling water (i like my coffee super hot), it creates a foam while the powder was diluting. The scent of the coffee was not too powerful compared to instant coffee locally branded one (Nescafe). Super coffee 2 in 1 only has coffee and creamer in it, so you need to add sugar according to your liking. But, since I am trying to lessen my sugar intake I did like mine with no sugar. It is frothy and creamy and my liking to a coffee did pass this brand.
Since it is an imported one, it would be hard to find one in our local supermarket, I am glad was able to try it, I might try to purchase the Super coffee from here.
I still have a few sachets left at home and still savoring the creamy goodness of Super Coffee.

'til next.

Vencci Exhaust Type Radiator for Laptops and Notebooks

A couple of weeks ago I purchased this Vencci exhaust type radiator for laptops and notebooks for Php650.00 over at Lazada.com and it came on time when I needed it. I was hoping my old Neo netbook would work again with the help of this device because the inside fan failed to work.
I had trouble with my netbook because of the fan is not working anymore and it keeps on shutting down immediately after turning it on.
I made a research for this product and it had good reviews too. But, unfortunately, still, the netbook did not open like it normally does.
I'm gonna be doing the photo unboxing of Vencci exhaust type radiator for laptops and notebooks.
1-box of Vencci Exhaust Type Radiator
Vencci box side with Chinese characters for description.
Back side of the Venccii box
Vencci exhaust box content:
1-Vencci exhaust type radiator unit (black, gray and blue color)
1- piece with 4 punched rubber pads
flyers with Chinese characters (no English translation)
1- USB connector
4- pieces rubber connectors (gray color)
The power port to connect the USB port to the laptop device.
The exhaust ventilation
The exhaust going in the laptop device.
The bottom part with rubber for securing the exhaust device in place.
USB connector
Rubber mouth tubing in 4 sizes depending on what size it can fit with the laptop grill exhaust which can be found on the side.
To fit one rubber, secure the rubber nozzle size until it fits. Adjust the plate to secure more suction to maximize the air to come out.
The Vencci exhaust type radiator is very handy and light-weight, a little bulky but with the weight is such a thumbs-up.
Since I won't be using this brand new Vencci, someone bought it from me with a much higher price because she needs it badly for her laptop. :)

I would recommend this exhaust type radiator especially to those who own a laptop or notebook with the fan inside is not functioning that efficient anymore. It will help a lot to minimize losing your data and other online projects.
