No business is perfect, including our healthcare system. As the patient number grows healthcare providers are now challenged with files, various inventory, appointment scheduling as well as executing bills and claims which can be extremely overwhelming. To help, many providers are embracing RPA to help alleviate these challenges. Healthcare is actually predicted to have a 36% automation potential which means more than a third of health care tasks such as office functions or managerial could be automated. This allows healthcare providers a more direct, value-based patient care with a lower cost and increased efficiency. These 3 tips to help improve your healthcare productivity will explain more in-depth.

  1. Technology - To start, look at your technology. The tools and technology that are within your organization should help increase you're efficiency, not slow it down. The care and delivery you have your patients are essential as every second and minute count for your patients. Your company should begin to utilize a process that helps increase your productivity while also improving accuracy and direction profitability.

How is this accomplished? Simple! "Robotic Process Automation ( RPA ) is the technology which allows anyone to configure computer software or a ‘robot’ to integrate the actions of a human interacting within the digital systems. RPA robots utilize the user interface to capture data and then manipulate applications just as we as humans do. They interpret, trigger responses and communicate with other systems to perform a vast variety of tasks. They also never sleep, make zero mistakes and cost a lot less than an employee." Think of it as having the ability to have a robot save you 51 hours each day or the equivalent of six people working an eight-hour night shift! I’m sure many healthcare employees would love to never have to work a night shift again by having something like in place within their company.

2. Information Management - Information is key when transforming information into one system to the next. Thanks to RoboWorx, this is easily accomplished with the various systems that they offer. The RoboWorx Studio will build a robot that will watch you perform your tasks and mimic them automatically. All those mundane day-to-day tasks that would allow you to spend your time elsewhere like in the lab or researching an important topic is now being taken care of by the RoboWorx Studio. They also offer the RoboWorx Orchestrator. This is a central location where the robots are deployed and managed aka logging, auditing, reporting, and scheduling. The last feature is RoboWorx Robots. These robots execute all of your processes automatically with perfect accuracy! How simple would it be to have documents, emails, and forms don't for you so you can focus on the true care of your patient and give them the one on one they deserve from you without being distracted by these tasks?

3. Improving Accounts Payable - There are several ways that RoboWorx can help you with your accounts payable! With the vast majority of invoices arrive as fax documents, PD email attachments or paper documents it can be overwhelming. Few are ever alike so manually handling this is extremely tedious not to mention overwhelming. With RPA, you can empower your people to automate, enabling them to focus on more meaningful work, and better serve customers. Having unstructured data is also an issue within the healthcare system. The Ap staff will manually transfer this data from the invoice format into the companies standard format. This task is extremely time-consuming and also prone to errors. Having an RPA that is capable of performing over 600 actions is the answer to allow the staff to work on more important things!

Would this be something you’re a business would be interested in trying out?  The implementation process is completely streamlined from the initial project discovery meeting through project completion. The team will help simplify and explain every step of the process so you don’t feel overwhelmed.
As you have read, using automation to transform the way we are working in healthcare can make a huge and lasting impact not only on the employees that work there but also with the patients as well. Helping to improve your ROI and productivity with ease is key. This is something that every healthcare corporation to think about incorporating to improve their accounts payable, information management and overall, their technology and employees productivity.

  11. My husband actually works for a company that creates medical software! He programs for them, but they do bigger hospitals and clinics. This robot sounds great for smaller businesses though.

It would be nice to have this kind of automation to increase productivity and to keep the business running especially during those hours when it would be difficult for employees to stay awake and focused on their jobs.
