The Various Types of Pendant Lighting

This pandemic has given us all of the possibilities we can think of! I haven't made any announcements on my social media accounts, particularly on my personal social media...I've been attempting to complete at least the most of the digital work...for our retirement home plan! Fortunately, there are many pages and websites where ideas abound...I occasionally take a U-turn and combine all of the themes we desired for our space. This will be our retirement home, so there are a lot of variables to consider. For the time being, I'll stop here and return to the checking items we can incorporate to the future house. One step at a time! 

In recent years, pendant lighting has grown in popularity. From kitchen islands to restaurants, pubs, and museums, pendants are used more than any other type of lighting these days. A single downward-facing light strung on a single thread, chain, or stem is both visually appealing and inviting. To bring a burst of color to a dull room or space, vibrant multi-hued glass designs are widely used. Among the many styles available are mini pendants, bowl pendants, lantern pendants, drum pendants, and multi-light pendants. 

I really like dome-shaped or drum-shaped light pendants since they provide the particular light needed in a specific area while using very little electricity. With so many different styles and designs to select from, anyone can include pendant lighting into their house. They are widely used in modern households and corporate settings. Drum pendants are a short cylinder-shaped "drum" that is usually covered in fabric or metal and strung from a stem or chain.

Bowl pendants are frequently utilized as the room's point of focus and can be used in place of a ceiling in dining and kitchen spaces, foyers, and other areas. Because the light is dispersed through the much bigger glass bowl, bowl pendant lighting is usually softer than other pendant styles. The bowl also provides up and down lighting because it is open on the top of the fixture. Bowl pendants, on the other hand, should always be hung higher than eye level to avoid looking directly into the open top. Because of this, they are not advised for areas near ladders and terraces. 

In a multi-light pendant, a string of individual little pendants is generally strung from a single mount. Because of their portability, I'm seeing a lot of this type of pendant lighting. You can always redesign a corner of the house with string pendants. When it comes to house design and fixtures, we prefer variety.

Any place that is being remodeled can benefit from pendant lighting to improve the look and feel. With so many styles, varieties, and finishes to choose from, you should have no trouble finding the ideal complement for your space!

BDO Unibank recognized the best online content creators in the first-ever BDO Blogger Awards.

The BDO Blogger Awards honors bloggers and influencers for sharing useful information, insights, and positivity with their followers and viewers. The awards honor bloggers’ contributions not only in spreading awareness about the bank’s advocacies, but also in initiating important public discussions for a more financially-inclusive industry through content creation.

The Awards feature two segments: the recognition ceremony, which awards the top-performing content creators in terms of the quality of content they published online from 2020 to 2021; and the content creation contest—a thematic activity that challenges participants to come up with unique and creative ways to talk about various topics.

This year, BDO challenged participants to discuss the bank’s innovative digital solutions, which served as an alternative option for clients to perform their bank transactions especially during the height of the pandemic.

The Digital Storyteller of the Year award was given to Mary Lorraine Llorin of Super Momma Blog. 

For the Excellence in Digital Engagement category, the winners were Lally Gonzales of Lally Reflections (3rd place), Berlin Domingo of Momi Berlin (2nd place), and Reylen Castro of Made it Through Mum (1st place).
