Wearing the perfect pants for walking


Walking tones the muscles in your arms and legs, as well as the abs, if you pump them while you walk. A 30-minute brisk walk can reduce 200 calories as stated by health guidelines. Calorie burn can eventually result in weight loss.  By doing so, you can extend your range of motion and transfer some of your weight and strain from your joints to your muscles. 

Walking can improve bone strength, decrease excess body fat, strengthen the heart, and increase muscle endurance and strength.  It can also lower your chance of getting diseases like osteoporosis, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and several types of cancer. 

Wearing comfy, dri-fit or quick-drying pants is a good idea if you wish to walk every day to prevent skin rashes or breakouts. I use these for my yoga practice and they are one of my favorite walking pants.  It features side pockets for a phone, keys, and other items, and it is flexible and quick to dry.
